Candle Care
To enjoy a clean, safe burn and the best scent throw, follow these simple tips
Before you light it
• Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface
• Keep it away from drafts, curtains, paper, and anything flammable
• Leave enough space around the candle while burning
The first burn matters
• On the first use, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar
• This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn
• Usually takes 2–3 hours depending on the candle size
Trim the wick
• Trim the wick before every burn to about 1/2 cm
• A shorter wick reduces smoke, soot, and an overly high flame
Burn time
• Burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time (max)
• Let the wax fully cool and harden before relighting
Extinguishing & relighting
• Extinguish gently by dipping the wick in the melted wax to prevent smoke
• If the wick leans, straighten it while the wax is still soft, before it fully sets
If tunneling happens
• Wrap the jar with foil, leaving an opening at the top, and burn for 30–60 minutes
• The goal is to melt the surface evenly back to the edges
If you notice smoke or soot
• Trim the wick a bit shorter and keep the candle away from airflow
• A calm, steady flame is ideal
Storage
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
• Keep the lid on to help preserve the scent and keep dust out
When to stop using
• Stop burning when about 1/2 cm of wax remains at the bottom
Safety reminder
• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Keep away from children and pets
• Do not move the candle while the wax is hot or liquid
